A termőterület hatékonyabb hasznosítása agroerdészet segítségével

Galícia 3 millió hektárnyi területéből 600 ezer hektárt tesz ki  a tradicionálisan  ‘Monte Veciñal en Man Comun’ (MVMC)-nek nevezett, magyarra “közös tulajdonban lévő szomszédos területek”-nek fordítható területek nagysága. Az MVMC egy német-típusú tulajdonlási rendszer, ahol a földet a rajta élők birtokolják, de amint elköltöznek, elveszítik tulajdonjogukat. Jelenleg a legtöbb közös tulajdonban lévő terület erdő, mely jelentős erdőtűz kockázatot hordoz magában.

Erdőkert és csonthéjas ültetvény az Agroforestry Research Trust-nál

Szeptemberben a Flamand Agroerdészeti Konzorcium szakmai látogatást tett az Egyesült Királyságban. Ötven belga és holland gazdálkodó és gazdálkodónak készülő fiatal, diák, kutató és szaktanácsadó látogatott el öt Délnyugat-angliai  helyszínre, többek az Agroforestry Research Trust által üzemeltetett erdőkertbe és csonthéjas ültetvényre.

Tirer le meilleur parti des "communs" en utilisant l'agroforesterie

600 milles hectares des 3 millions d'hectares de terres de Galice relèvent de la propriété traditionnelle appelée "Monte Veciñal en Man Comun" (MVMC), ce qui peut être traduit en français par «forêt communautaire». Le MVMC est un type germanique de propriété; le terrain appartient aux propriétaires qui y vivent et le droit de propriété est perdu s’ils le quittent. La plupart des MVMC sont des peuplements forestiers purs présentant un risque incendie élevé.

Noyeraie et forêt jardinée - Agroforestry Research Trust

En septembre, le Consortium en Agroforesterie de Flandrea organisé un voyage «agroforestier» au Royaume-Uni. Cinquante agriculteurs belges et hollandais, agriculteurs en devenir, étudiants, décideurs et chercheurs ont visité 5 sites dans le sud-ouest de l’Angleterre. La première étape était la forêt jardinée et la noyeraie gérée par le Agroforestry Research Trust.

Making the most out of ‘common land’ by using agroforestry

Galicia has 600 thousand hectares out of 3 Million hectares under the ownership traditionally called ‘Monte Veciñal en Man Comun’ (MVMC), that can be translated into English as ‘Neighbourhood owned Common Land’. The MVMC is a Germanic type of ownership in which the land is owned by the owners when they live on it and people lose the right of ownership when they leave. Most of MVMC are currently destined to be pure forest stands which present a high forest fire risk.

Agroforestry Research Trust forest garden and nut tree plantation

In September, the Consortium Agroforestry Flanders organized an agroforestry excursion to the UK. Fifty Belgian and Dutch farmers, aspirant-farmers, students, advisors and researchers altogether visited five sites in the South-West of England. The first stop, which we highlight in this article, was the forest garden and nut tree plantation managed by the Agroforestry Research Trust (https://www.agroforestry.co.uk/).

Beheer van ‘gemeenschappelijke grond’ door agroforestry

In Galicië (Spanje) valt 600 000 ha van de 3 000 000 ha onder de noemer van wat traditioneel ‘Monte Veciñal en Man Comun’ (MVMC) genoemd wordt, ofte ‘Gemeenschappelijke grond in eigendom van de gemeenschap’. De MVMC is een Germaans type van eigendom waarbij het land eigendom is van degenen die er leven, en waarbij men het recht op eigendom verliest wanneer men het land verlaat. Het merendeel van de MVMC oppervlakte bestaat momenteel uit bos met een hoog risico op bosbranden.

Agroforestry Research Trust voedselbos en notenaanplant

In september 2017 organiseerde het Consortium Agroforestry Vlaanderen een excursie naar Engeland. Niet minder dan 50 geïnteresseerden namen deel om er een kijkje te nemen hoe men er met agroforestry aan de slag gaat. De groep deelnemers was heel divers: landbouwers, aspirant-landbouwers, studenten, adviseurs en onderzoekers namen deel en dit zowel vanuit België als Nederland. Vijf sites werden bezocht in het zuidwesten van Engeland, waarbij vaak (agroforestry in) groenteteelt centraal stond, maar waarbij er ook aandacht was voor notenteelt en voedselbos.
