Tuesday, June 25th 2019, the German Association for Agroforestry (DEFAF) will be founded in Berlin to promote the implementation of agroforestry systems as a sustainable land use system. The foundation assembly will take place at the premises of the Federal Association of German Foundations in Berlin.

De RAINs kwamen al vier keer samen in elk van de negen deelnemende landen en startten met de concrete uitwerking van innovaties handelend over de eerder geïdentificeerde uitdagingen over heel Europa. Sommige van de AFINET innovatie factsheets richten zich op het dichten van de kennishiaten die door groepen van agroforestry belanghebbenden doorheen Europa werden benoemd tijdens de RAIN bijeenkomsten.

In this past few weeks we have had a change in EURAF Board. Giustino Mezzalira, from Italy, is no longer Deputy Secretary. Rico Hübner has joined the board to take this position.
Rico Hübner, PhD in Agricultural Economics, has his research background in sustainable agriculture, renewable energies and agricultural policy.
